8. How are TML procedures performed?
Procedures are performed lying or sitting in a comfortable bodily position, at a calm and convenient time for you, in a suitable place, such as your preferred home spot for relaxation. Peaceful, easy background music may be helpful. A single procedure is usually of short length, lasting from 15 to 40 minutes. During the procedure, you will completely (face not covered) or partially, be wrapped in the therapeutic blanket. During complete wrappings it is preferable that the patient wear a minimum of clothing. Linens must be of natural cloth. Skin must be dry and clean.
At home or at the doctor’s office, one should use a cotton sheet. At medical establishments sterilized air is preferable.
